WHAT IS CABRETTA LEATHER ? 
In a nutshell, it’s sheep leather.  Hair sheep leather is mainly found in South America. Although it is called a hair sheep, the hair of the hair sheep does not become the wool used for sweaters. The breed is different from the sheep you often see. Hair Sheep’s shaved leather has soft/smooth/thin characteristics that are most suitable for golf gloves. For this reason, it has long been used as the finest material for golf gloves.                                   
Cabretta is derived from Cabra, which means goat in Spanish and Portuguese. Easy-going people in the USA seem to have started calling Hair Sheep leather Cabretta. It probably didn’t make much of a difference whether it was a sheep or a goat LOL. Since then, the name Cabretta leather golf gloves has become popular globally.
